Stop apologizing for being the United States!

People are saying that burning the Koran will incite Muslims to violence, but how is that different from what they are doing now? Political correctness is not going to save us from the people who hate us. You think the Imam cares about our Country? He is determined to destroy US “UnitedStates”. In the name of free speech and funded by the federal government ( National Endowment for the Arts) we can drop a crucifix in a jar of urine, which is an affront to Christians. In the name of free speech we can burn the American flag. In the name of freedom of religion, Muslims want to build a mosque within the area of the twin towers where almost 3,000 innocent people were murdered and their body parts strewn for two blocks! But, burn the Koran and they are offended to the point of wanting to kill people. Islam brings destruction, for example, look at what Islam has done in Israel, In the Balkans and Russia Muslims have killed children, burned churches and killed Christians and Jews. France and Britain have already seen signs that Islam is growing even more violent and regret their “tolerance”. That is what they want to bring to America.

Does anyone remember the American flag being burned by Mexicans in Arizona earlier this year? I don’t recall people being outraged and threatening the lives of Mexicans. You don’t hear anything in the media about Bibles being burned or Christians being murdered all over the world almost every day of the year. Muslims are not tolerant of Christianity. We need Christian leaders speaking from our pulpits just like the Christian leaders who fought for us to have our freedoms so long ago.

Italy has denied religious status to Islam. Politicians cited extremist (fundamentalist) imams, polygamy and failure to uphold women’s rights by Muslim immigrants as obstacles to recognizing Islam as an official religion in Italy.

GM – Government Motors, now Government Nuclear Power?

Why should the government (that means we) spend $8 Billion to build a nuclear facility? Why not let the free market build it and REALLY create jobs? If the government builds it, it will cost twice as much and it will be under federal control.

Patrick Laffey 4 Senate District 32, So they don’t die in vain.

On Saturday October 31, 2009, I attended the funeral of Spc. Daniel C. Lawson killed in Afghanistan on October 15, 2009. I did not attend as a candidate but as a citizen to honor a patriot, a hero and a man who gave the ultimate sacrifice for his country. Words can not express enough to tell you the honor I felt being there. This man was loved and respected by his family, friends, and those who served with him. Even though you and I did not know him personally, we all have a kinship to him and all the men and women who serve in our armed forces.

Someone asked me, “Where do these type of people come from?” I believe these people come from average families that have faith, values, and pride in themselves and love for their country. These men and women follow a long line of patriots from our own revolution to the present day. The baton has been passed from generation to generation and we, as a people, must not let these who have given their lives, die in vain. Like Daniel, we need to stand up  for our country. We must support our military in every way we can, thank them for their sacrifice and support and pray for their families.
May God bless them and God bless our country.
